Jesse Loesberg was born in New York. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at Bates College in 1993 and his Master of Fine Arts in Writing at Goddard College in 1999.
   
Jesse's poems have appeared in The Café Review, The Santa Barbara Review, The Clockhouse Review and on the web site of Poets Against War. His articles and essays have been published in The Casco Bay Weekly (now sadly defunct), Maine in Print and on The Stuttering Homepage. He is a regular contributor to the Perspectives series on KQED-FM in San Francisco.  
   
 
His career as a teacher of creative writing began at Portland Adult Education in 1998. Since then he has been on the faculty of The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, run writing classes at The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, and taught poetry to fifth and sixth graders at The Oak Bluffs School on Martha's Vineyard. He is also a regular teacher at The Writing Salon and is on the faculty of the Wyoming Young Writer's Camp.
   
Jesse lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he and his agent are looking for a publisher for his first novel. In the meantime, he is working on his second one. His knitting alter ego is Yarn Boy.
